Description:
The 20′ Open-Top Container is designed for cargo that requires top-loading or cannot be easily loaded through standard container doors. Constructed with corrugated steel walls and a wooden floor, it features a removable tarpaulin roof supported by bows, along with a swivel-out door header for easier access.
These structural elements simplify loading and unloading operations, particularly when using a crane or overhead lifting equipment. However, the roof bows also contribute to the container’s overall stability, making flatracks a better option for overheight cargo.
Lashing rings are installed along the upper and lower side rails and corner posts, each capable of securing loads up to 1,000 kg. Open-top containers are commonly available in 20′ and 40′ sizes.
Usage:
Ideal for general dry cargo, open-top containers are particularly suited for:
- Loading and unloading by crane from above
- Transporting tall or bulky cargo that exceeds standard container heights
